Hustle and Pray with Text It by Sherri Noel...

Hello and welcome to the blog hop for Text It....Quilts and Pillows with Something to Say!!!

First off--don't you just love the name--and then just look at the cover!! The colors in this book are so amazingly happy that a smile was on my face the whole time I read it!!! Sherri picked just the right colors for each project. If you want to get your very own autographed copy from Sherri HERE.
The book can also be found on AMAZON.

There are also amazing giveaways, but that will come later...first let's get to the project I selected for the hop.

I started with these soft and cheerful colors from Island Batik's line called Ditty!!

Such pretty shapes all ready to sew!!!

Did some chain piecing on a blustery and snowy day in March!!

....just for fun!!!

All the pretty colors!! Sherri's directions were very clear with easy to cut pieces. I tend to be an AccuQuilt quilt cutting type gal--so that is what I used.

As my readers are well aware, I tend to be a procrastinator with most all of my projects!! Silhoutte to the rescue for cutting the letters!! I like to use batiks for letters when using the electronic cutting machine as they have a tighter weave so the cuts are nice and clean!!

Found this fun piece that I tried snow dyeing with last winter--great for the back!!

The neat thing about Sherri's book--Text It--is that she includes the whole alphabet for each font used in it!! So you can personalize each project with whatever works for you!!! I chose to add the & PRAY to my project.....

....and turn it into a wall hanging. I am planning on hanging it over a door in my sewing studio. Just the reminder I need!! Sherri's project in the book is a pillow--and it was super cute!! I just doubled the amount of X blocks, trimmed the word space down a bit and basically just sewed two pillow tops together to make the wall hanging!! I love it---thanks so much Sherri for the inspiration!!!

Now for some extra fun!! Aurifil has graciously donated 2 large spools of thread--color will vary from photo--to one of my readers.
Oh, but there is more, Martingale is offering a hard copy of this lovely book to one of my U.S. readers.
Leave a comment on the blog with your favorite spring flower and any memory that it might spark!!

But wait--there is still more!! Sherri is haveing an amazing giveway of all the products above on here blog--find it HERE

Hello! My favorite spring flower is daffodils. They are so bright and cheerful! I wish I had a special memory with daffodils but I'm not that exciting. 😁

I love daffodils. I love the warm bright colors of Spring and the delicate shape of the flowers. Love that you added "& Pray" to your text. I think we all need to bring more of that into this world every day.

My fave spring flower is a lilac. Growing up in Michigan my Grammie's yard was full of them. Now that I'm living in Florida I really miss the fragrance in the spring.

A couple years ago we saw some wild miniature iris while hiking in the Smoky Mountains. Now when I see any type of iris I think of that trip and the gorgeous flowers.

Your wall hanging and its sentiment is perfect! There is always time for prayer! Lilacs are my favorite spring flower. My mom had 2 large lilac bushes as I grew up and she always loved to cut bouquets of them to freshen up the house on those early spring days. I love the lilac scent! duchick at gmail dot com

I have very fond memories of sitting on the porch step and loving the fragrance of our lilac tree when it was in bloom. Peonies were another favorite!

My favorite spring flowers are crocuses. I live in Canada where the winters are long and cold. Crocuses are always the first sign of spring, sometimes even coming up and blooming through snow! Thanks!

My favorite spring flower is the pansy because my mother loved to plant them.

My favorite spring flower are tulips - we had a Dutch professor in college. His family owned a tulip farm and we would plant new versions around the campus - always excited to see the new varieties!

I love Irises. One year I created a flower bed and filled it with Iris bulbs. The first day that the bulbs all bloomed, my husband, son and brother-in-law were throwing a foot ball around. My brother-in-law ran to catch the ball and accidently plowed through the Iris bed. The bulbs never flowered again.
